About Me
- Kailua Dad
- Kailua, Hawaii is a small beach town just over the Ko'olau Mountains from Honolulu. It has two world class beaches, Kailua Beach and Lanikai Beach. I will try to show you all of Kailua over the next months.

Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate you following my Blog. Your pictures of Hawaii bring back memories for me.
I was stationed in Pearl Harbor for 3 yrs. while in the Navy. Was only 18 yrs. old back then, but I sure do remember how really nice it was over there. I don't think that I really realized just how much prettier things were over there, compared to here in PA.
Places that I remember were Waikiki Beach, Hotel Street, The Blow Hole, North Shore, Honolulu, The Pipe Line, and Waimea Bay. Wish that I could go back, but just to darn expensive.
Enjoy your surroundings. It's only 44 degrees here.
When it gets 'cold' here--say 72 degrees in the daytime--a good many of the locals wear their leather jackets. Not to ride motorcycles, but just a sort of "it's cold in Hawaii" fashion statement.
